... Fleming and John

"Sing me a song without any words, and I'll pretend you wrote it just for me. Paint me a picture with images blurred, so I can see what i want to see."

... Music

Music can really set the mood, don't you think? I love relaxing background music during dinner... a good song that gets people up and moving at a party.

As much as I appreciate good music, I'm not so into the latest band or sound & can rarely recall a good song when I need one, so I need your help.

Pandora's great, but I know you guys area really going to come through for me. I can just feel it.

Ready for your task?

Songs. I need song suggestions for the wedding. We're going to make our own play list which means we get to pick lots of great songs.

I'm looking for good background music for the cocktail hour & dinner time. Then some rockin' music to dance into the night.

Thoughts?

... Love

Celebrating the musical legacy of the Beatles, Cirque du Soleil has incorporated 26 classic Beatles hits into their newest show which performs in Vegas. Suddenly I find myself wanting to vacation in the gambling capital of the world. I just adore the music of the Beatles and to see the magic of Cirque's aerial acrobatics, urban dance, & extreme sports timed perfectly to the beat of my favorite band... well, it give me shutters just thinking about it. I downloaded LOVE off allofmp3.com and I say with exuberance, it did not disappoint. The songs have been remastered by former producer George Martin and son Giles- intertwined together into a flawlessly mixed medley that begins with Because and ends with All You Need Is Love. And all you need, folks, is to listen to this cd.

... allofmp3.com

If you've ever downloaded a song from itunes for $.99 you need to check this out.

My English friend- Ryan- told me about it when we were hanging out at Windsor Castle last month. (That's us, drinking tea on the lawn of Windsor Castle.)

Anyhow, they calculate the price based on the size of the song so it's much cheaper than itunes. For example, I downloaded a song yesterday for $.11 and an entire album for $1.22. You have to check it out!!

... A Substitute Teacher

That's me- the substitute teacher. A friend of mine was out of town and asked me if I'd fill in for his classes. I said yes. Three literature and one logic class. It was sooo fun. The kids were great- easy to lead in discussion, fun to prompt into play acting. We covered everything from Henry IV to Cyrano De Bergiac to Lord of the Flies to Suduko. So when I'm ready for another new career, perhaps I'll look into teaching... ;-)

Tonight I'm off to a film festival at the Naro. Some good friends of mine- Dave & Libby- directed, produced, and shot a music video (click on "see the video") and it's being shown.

Speaking of music videos... here are some stills of Peter's band- shot during their final performance at the Norva.
