beautiful. I love the candle chandelier !!! The whole room looks great. Having a bedroom as a nice peaceful place (great color scheme!) to be is so wonderful.
Awwww. I want to sleep in your bedroom. Mine is full of laundry. Yours looks so peaceful and calm. Love the colors too...but you know me I am a sucker for blue.
Hey what color are your wood floors? I want to paint chocolate on one of my walls but I have dark wood floors and was wondering if it wood be too much. I couldn't tell from the pic but yours look dark too. If so does it blend well? Mine have a bit of a red hint in them.....just getting bored around here need some new colors. HEE HEE.
I love your bedroom. Well, I just love your home in general. it's neat, clean, peaceful and refreshing. I'll never forget when I was supposed to be at the hospital caring for you and instead I had a migraine and got to go to your house and sleep on your bed. I think I rested so well that my migraine just disappeared. Your room reflects you well.
Yep, the chandelier is new - sort of. I bought it years and years ago but JUST put it up.
My room IS peaceful and calm. I love the chocolate brown walls Bethany! They came like that!! I was immediately excited and everyone, I remember the realtor thought I was crazy. It works with my wood floors, but there is a lot of white in the room (window and floor trim, 2 doors, furniture, 3 windows with lots of morning light, window dressings). Before I put it all in, it was a bit dark. My wood floors are middle of the row between light and dark (I think - Amy, what do you say?). They have a lot of character (meaning, a lot of natural wood swirls). Some boards are pretty light and some are much darker. I say go for it. One wall could easily be balanced out even if your floors were darker. It's such a rich, fun look.
Hope you are well. I'm holding things down here bonny London, still resting after Uganda, and generally trying not to lose my head. But oh so much has happened over the past several months. Drop me a line sometime and we can jive. Please tell Jeff to do the same and let me know if either of you need my email again. I think you still have it.
Tell all you encounter, especially Jeff, I love and miss them. I have an (un)funny way of showing it through radio silence, but it is true. Hope to hear from you soon.
Yay! You finally put your chandelier up! I was wondering what you were going to do with it (I mean, it looked great sitting on the floor at your old place, but it was time for something new)...looks great!
Hmm, yeah, I'd say the floors are med. brown, leaning towards the yellow end...not red. On the one pic of your dresser that you can kinda see the floors they look cherryish on my monitor. A HA! Found it...Bethany, check out Michelles old post on her house (April 27). There's a great shot of her bedroom walls and the floors.
THey do look dark in this picture but when I look at April...thanks Amy they are much lighter than mine. Mine are super dark. HMMMM. Well I will have to think about it.

Ooh, pretty! Is that chandelier thing new? I haven't seen it before. Fun.
I need to get you over to my place - my bedroom is in a sad, sad state :)

Beautiful. The pictures look like they belong in the latest issue of Real Simple!
Sweeeet.
Michelle,
This makes me miss Ghent...a lot.

aw-that is nice. I wish I could buy your house :)
Glass doorknobs! Very Alice! David and I got some for our house, but I don't think we have all the parts. AHHH! No need for all that. Beautiful decor!
Speaking of Alice Jessica. I think you should name your first girl Alice. For the record, No -- Jessica is not currently pregnant.
