... The Appalachian Trail
Today Rebekah and I spent four hours hiking part of the Appalachian Trail. The thick, damp forest sheltered us from the heat of the day as we followed the blazes marking the tight path which snaked along the flowing creek. It was nice to be in the out of doors listening to the breeze blow through the tree tops and inhaling the fresh, clean air. We finished off the day at our favorite sandwich spot at UVA - Take it Away - and treated ourselves to an old fashioned hand dipped ice cream cone before driving home. All and all it was a lovely day. I'm glad we were able to keep our hiking tradition going, this time bringing along new baby Avery who is 6 months in utero. Way to go Rebekah!
