I just picked that book up from the library. I'm just starting it and hope it's good.

i've heard a lot about this book. do you think i'd like it? why do so many wounds make you feel you're exceptional? excxeptional that you survived them? or exceptional that you have such quantity or quality of wounds?

I feel like they've promoted this book like crazy.... but it's not one I would recommend. It was okay. But not as great as I would have thought.

In terms of the quote - I think she meant exceptinal in that she was set apart from others. Like she'd experienced something they hadn't so that made her special.

Hey Michelle! How's it going? Have you ever heard of the book, "The Alchemist"? Danny's brother Scott brought it over for me to read. Anyhoo, I tagged you for a "Foodie Tag" when you've got time. See you around this blogging world!!

Hey Judy. I've heard of Alchemist- from a friend Libby (mouse). Libby - any thoughts? Judy- I'm reading Snowflower and the Secret Fan right now. Can't remember if you've already read but it's set in China. Just read the footbinding chapter - ewwww.

I just finished "The Secret Life of Bees" and I agree it was okay. It's a fast read and I enjoyed the writing. The whole black Madonna thing was a little over the top for me.
