Today while I was working, I had one of my favorite Jane Austin movies on and playing in the background-- Mansfield Park.
One of the things I like about Austin's writing is that she is so quoteable. I keep a book of noteable quotes and it seems it's half filled with words credited to the classic writer.
Two favorites from this movie....
Fanny Price: "And life seems nothing more than a quick succession of busy nothings." This one comes to mind so often. Do you ever feel like this? I certainly do...
and, sigh, Edmond Bertram "Surely you and I are beyond speaking when words are clearly not enough." Sends my heart a thumpin' every single time I hear it.

Oh, I've never seen that one. I'll have to watch it!
Hey Michelle, just wanted to let you know I tagged you.
Great quotes. I got curious to see if you had done the tag yet. I created it and am curious to read snippets of fellow bloggers' pasts in a fun way.
I play that same soundtrack all the time at work! I love it! Great quotes.
