Still nothing from the official photographer. But I do have a few shots that my sister-in-law Elka took from a pretty good vantage point. (Thanks Elka!)
It was raining, did I tell you that? All week long it was perfectly lovely autumn weather then -- bang -- it got cold and rainy. Since the wedding and reception were both outside, we had to do a bit of creative shuffling that day.
I did still walk through the garden as my aisle -- though donning a spontaneous black umbrella.
I rocked the umbrella. Really, ask anyone.
Two reasons why I like this series of pictures:
1. They remind me of what was going through my mind when I was walking down. Besides thinking things like 'man, I'm cold' and 'don't trip and fall in the mud', I was focused on getting to Jeff. So it was no surprise really that I made a bee-line for him not caring (or remembering) that I was supposed to be ceremoniously standing next to him. We locked eyes, I tossed aside the umbrella,
and walked right up to my husband-to-be.
Then the officiant had to instruct me to move over. hehe
2. I also like them because they show how darn happy I am. I mean, look at that smile plastered on my face. I couldn't have been more pleased.
