... Perfectionism

This has been on my mind a lot lately. Me and my type-A tendencies. I've been working on dealing with my anxiousness. Working towards developing more healthy responses to life when it inevitably veers from my planned course. So the other day when I ran across fellow blogger Anna Maria Horner touching on this topic, her cute little phrase stuck in my head.

"There are 25 other letters in the alphabet when plan A fails me."
~Anna Maria Horner

Love that quote.

I've been racking my brain about the giveaway and I have no idea. I've entered so many and am guilty of not lookin gvery closely at a lot of the blogs. Is it a photo blog? I entered to win a few gorgeous pictures...Are you gonna tell me?

From one of your chronically anxious friends, here's a quote I love:

“Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor.”

"be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer and supplication present your requests to God with thanksgiving and...He will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus..." I can so relate, Michelle. I'll be praying for you in this area. BTW, did you take that pic ~ it's beautiful, very artistic.

Michelle, Recently, a dear friend(thanks, Linda B) gave me the book Running Scared. It's the best book on this subject that I've read and makes the Scriptures on fear and anxiety even more sweet. His insights are so helpful--"worriers are false prophets." Worriers think "in the future tense" and think "in minute, gory detail." Edward T. Welch is the author.
