... Keeping the Men Away

I know you've been there. Some creepy guy is ogling you and just won't stop. Dirty looks don't work. Ignoring won't work. Abruptness won't work. They just don't take 'leave me the heck alone' for an answer. They are not easily dissuaded. Ew. But friends, there is no need to continue feeling objectified and maybe a little afraid. There is something that works:

Yep. If you're ever desperate to have those undesirables truly back off, give it a try. Seriously. It's worked every time, saving me from many an uncomfortable situation. And now I share my secret with you.

Ha Ha! I remember you sharing that at our first girls' group meeting in the Thomas care group. Hilarious.

We should've tried that on the creepy guy up in Jamestown :) Next time.

That's really funny...with two kids it doesn't happen so much...but I'll keep it in mind!

Hmmmmm. Good tip. I bet removing your finger from your nose & promptly placing it in your mouth would be even better.

Yeah Judy, I bet that would work. I've just never had to go that far. Let me know how it pans out when you give it a try. ;-)

Daisy and I had two guys approach us at dinner last Friday (she has 3 kids Sarah, but of course they weren't there). The guys certainly weren't daunted by much but I didn't want to utilize my tip as it was a nice restaurant. They came back to our table 3 times. It was a small place so everyone noticed, even the servers were getting a laugh at their at their feeble attempts. Oh, and one of them told us he was a medical malpractice lawyer from CA. Ew! It so makes me appreciate the gentlemen in my life.

Cith - seriously, why didn't we remember that? That was THE most creepy encounter I'd ever experienced.

EEEEW! I hate creepy men! Looks like Gwee's got the answer for us. Give it to 'em with the ol' "gosh you're stupid and I'm tired of looking at you" look followed by a put-upon sigh and roll of the eye she usually gives and I think you've got it.
