... An Emotional Marathon

Not really, but I did go on a very long hike this past weekend. I was in Raleigh-Durham visiting Renee and Memori. Renee was in the lead and we had a pretty quick pace going. We didn't notice though, we were talking up a storm. Maybe we should have noticed. Well, I did notice when we passed a certain point the second time (or was it the third?). We eventually found our way back to the car and enjoyed a cold beer during the evenings dinner.

Thanks for the fun weekend girls!

Hey Katy, the blur is from a special lense I have. It's manual and bendable and lets you choose the spot you want in focus (the sweet spot) and then allows you to determine how much blur you want and where. It's alot of fun. I'll try to post more pics I've taken with it.

BUT, if you have a camera that allows you to alter your settings, I think you could achieve the look of this picture by adjusting your aperture. The aperture affects your depth of field. To get a soft focus on the edges you'd use a large aperture (small #) and focus on, in this case, the flowers in the middle of the pic.

Sounds like fun. I love it when you walk and talk and lose complete track of time. Libby & I just made those marvelous peanbutbutter and chocolate chip cookies. They're a hit! They're going to Mike's study group tonight but I got to enjoy one! Yum! Thanks for the recipe.

cool Michelle, thanks for letting me know. I have an inexpensive digital camera and thought I could copy the effect in photoshop . . .

Katy, Yeah, you could do that in PS. You can do practically ANYTHING in Photoshop!
